This website was created December 3, 2009 at the University of Minnesota, Morris for the Women and Art course with professor Julia Dabbs. I chose to look at Louise Dahl-Wolfe because her use of light, lines, and contrasts between light and dark create a beauty and elegance in her photographs that not many photographers have been able to accomplish. Louise Dahl-Wolfe was one of the most prominent fashion photographers of the thirties, forties, and fifties.
